Social Media Networking
Over the last few years we have seen a number of social media networking tools enter the internet market and some we thought would come and some would go.
Most of us in the business sector looked at these with an evil eye as all they appeared to be doing was wasting valuable time that could be used for more traditional outbound marketing activities.
Well, I'm afraid times have changed. The social media tools have come of age now and are becoming a valuable tool for businesses to establish strong inbound marketing channels and leverage the huge market of potential customers; the average age demographic steadily on the increase.
Designhand is coming to terms with how to use these new social media tools and has set up each one and starting to use these actively within our current customer base as well as attempting to attract new customers. There is an even stronger need now to have a website as the foundation marketing medium for your business. Your website is your main marketing tool and the social meda tools are excellent inbound marketing channels to your website. You should update content on your website regularly and steer customers to your site through your Facebook home page, Tweets that you send out through Twitter and LinkedIn connections you make.

- Facebook - Designhand has a Facebook page and is currently building up a membership or 'like' list so that the page becomes the official Designhand Facebook page. We will regularly put new information up on our Facebook page and interact with our Facebook customers who are also online.
- Twitter - David also has a Twitter 'handle' now dpartis and you can click here to go to Twitter and either join a conversation and register or send Designhand a 'tweet'. Twitter is useful for sending short bursts of information quickly around the internet and is growing in numbers and followers rapidly.
- LinkedIn - LinkedIn is an excellent 'connection' tool for business networking and sharing of contacts that we all need to run our businesses effectively. You can search for David or create your own LinkedIn account on LinkedIn
- WordPress Blog - Designhand can build you a blogging website to keep interactively in contact with your customers.
- Traditional Newsletters - There is still a very strong requirement to send outbound marketing information in the form of newsletters. These are an excellent 'push' or 'outbound' marketing channel and provide an excellent forum to constantly market links to your inbound marketing tools such as Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn..
